We exist to empower women to navigate matrescence with confidence, to return to work feeling seen and supported, and to find spaciousness in their success—whether that means climbing the career ladder or embracing a softer ambition.

Hi, I’m Laurie, founder of The M(other) Space.
I spent 12 years climbing the career ladder in London before becoming a mother—and suddenly, everything shifted. I wasn’t prepared for how deeply my identity, values, and ambitions would evolve. Like so many women, I felt torn between wanting to continue my career and the undeniable transformation that motherhood brought.
I created The M(other) Space because I believe women deserve better support in navigating these crossroads—whether that means returning to paid work or reshaping their ambitions in a way that honours their evolving identity.
Through my work as a certified life coach, matrescence educator, and psychology graduate, I help women redefine success, embrace motherhood as a transformation, and create careers and lives that feel truly aligned.
Because motherhood isn’t something to bounce back from. It’s something to move forward with.
